Response to Video - My PLE

This is an outstanding production, obviously a student who is on top of her game. The approach is one that I would work with, a bit challenging but doable. She is organized- her page reminds me of a filing cabinet, items neatly labelled and filed so they are easily accessible; not only that but her personal sites are separate and apart from her educational sites. COOL.
I especially admire and appreciate her high level of responsibility, one of her comments resonates for me; she said and I quote ' It's not a choice not to do it but when to do it'. Highly responsible. She went on further to state that technology allows for more to be done and rules out paper and pencil. My take on that excellent especially because we are struggling to save our environment, so every tree that is saved is less paper.
Presently I use www.wordle.net to assist my kids with producing poems in my Math and Science class, however I'm now about to get permission from the tech gurus in my district to allow me to use www.glogster.com to help my kids produce a digital poster on the planets or on astronomy, which will widen the presentation. The digital poster is an idea I'd like to use with my Science classes this year because after my research I realize it's a safe site and my kids will think it's cool.
I would love to teach this child, challenging? Yes but it would force me to use technology more, in order to effectively teach her. I really loved the peer review section of her presentation. Although I have used peer review over the years I've always used the peers on hand; never thought of using email or skype as a part of my resources. This is a very effective way to get all of us to think the technological way. WOW
